Programme
The C2Learn Teacher Academy offers a flexible variety of opportunities for teachers and other school staff to explore creativity and the use of games in learning. We organize:
• 6-day, practical, workrshop-based, structured training courses
• 5-day job-shadowing/observation periods including workshop-based training in our school
• 3-day short training workshops in conjunction with wider events (e.g. relevant conferences).
The training activities may take place in various locations in Greece, from the surroundings of Athens to pleasant resorts by the sea or in the mountains, depending on the kind of the event and the time in the year.
Training activities will be organized throughout 2014 and 2015. Our current planning includes the following options:
• Structured training courses: July/August 2014, early January 2015, April 2015, July/August 2015
• Job-shadowing/observation in school: during most of the 2014-2015 school year
• Short training workshops: October 2015.
Please contact us to express your interest, get more and updated information, and reserve places for yourself or your staff.
An example of a structured course
As an indication, here is what a structured training course looks like: 2013 C2Learn Summer School
It is noted that participants are usually invited to come to the course with their 'initial ideas': ideas, visions, wishes, example of existing practice... - all relating somehow to using game-oriented approaches and fostering creativity in learning and education in participants' own professional contexts, classes, schools, areas of expertise.
During the course, participants will have the opportunity to develop these initial ideas further, based on new experiences and insights they will be gaining through a series of inspiring workshops. Each workshop will have a special focus, enabling participants to pay particular attention to specific aspects of their ideas. In this way, ideas will grow and mature session by session, day by day, aiming to become complete 'educational scenarios' by the end of the course.
